Hello and welcome!
In this blog I will be sharing my reviews, comments and reflections on my years doing activism, trying to relate the principles and practice of anarchism to the movement and life outside the subculture.
Yes, the title an homage to the Mandolorian. I have somewhat of a love/hate relationship with Star Wars depending on which story, movie, or show we’re talking about. In the Mandolorian series, the main character reaches a dilemma where he’s forced to choose between the code of the Mandolorian warriors, or to remove his helmet to showing his face to his adopted son.
As a proletarian anarchist, living in an authoritarian, capitalist society, I see this as a metaphor, for the struggles we constantly face. We can’t always do the most anarchist thing, and we don’t have the excuse of just doing whatever is easiest. This is about the way we must find a balance between ideology and life, occasionally sacrificing the dogmatic practice in order to make things work. These are the discussions we need to have to brings anarchism forward in order to make it practical outside of a subculture.
